Extremely poor service from the Klang branch. After paying the deposit, they barely replied and gave no updates unless chased. When the maid's passport was finally ready, we confirmed collection one day before — they said OK. On the day itself, just before I left, they suddenly told me they didn’t bring it. No apology, no responsibility. Even asked us to pay delivery fee for their own mistake. Rude tone, zero professionalism. Totally unacceptable. Not recommended at all and prefer not giving any stars 🙃

Terrible experience with this agency.

We have employed many maids over the years and this is by far the worst service we've ever got. Carmen was our agent, we had a run away maid that have been caught by our resident's securities, I was not in my country at that moment of time and i received a call from my father regarding the runaway maid. immediately i called the agent and what i got was "can you get your driver to send her back? we don't have driver"

i was so mad. Excuse me! How about think of a way how do we send the maid back instead of us employer doing all the thing? i hired from other agencies i was never once told to fill up EVERY SINGLE THING on my own. Agent usually will explain to us and we will sign. you know what was the most efficient thing that they did? asking for payments, that was the most consistent thing that they have done.

i have also asked about the EPF after i gotten the maid replacement. I WAS LEFT HANGING!!!!!!

i would suggest other families to look for other agencies for your convenience and better mental health.

The after sales service of this agency is extremely poor, leaving us as the employer feel truly helpless and had to take matters to our own hands. The maid from this agency was ok for the first 2 weeks, and then started to ask for handphone which we agreed was conditional on her good performance. On and off she had came up with antics and asked to go home, the only thing the counsellor (who is always hard to reach) did was to lecture her via video call. The last straw was when my maid decided to feed my 1.5y/o salted egg (whole egg) and I needed to contact Ms Carmen to intervene. Despite the poor performance of the maid and the escalation that we had made, the agency did not make further effort to alleviate the situation. My simple ask, which is for the counsellor to come over to counsel the maid was responded with her request if we can cover her grab ride fee? Shouldn’t this be part of their responsibility? After all, we have paid 17k in agency fee and this should not be too much of an ask? The agency’s blatant lack of responsibility is not only disappointing, but completely unacceptable, reflecting poor professionalism. I strongly encourage prospective employer to look elsewhere as I have received much better service from other agency.

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional service from Sands Agency Klang in my opinion. If I am able to give 0 stars I would gladly do so.

My family has employed over 10 domestic helpers throughout the years, so we are well-acquainted with the process and reasonable expectations. Unfortunately, Sands Agency Klang has been the worst agency we have ever engaged with.

We hired a helper, Widya, in October 2023. Initially, she performed her duties well. However, within weeks, her attitude deteriorated. She reneged on her agreement regarding phone usage and demanded for the usage of phone every night. I gave in as I believed in treating her well, and since she was performing her duties, I agreed on the condition that she continues to work well and not let the phone affect her. We set her working hours from 7am - 9pm so that she has at least 10 hours of rest, despite the agency saying that the minimum is 8 hours only. Initially she followed the hours, but as time passes by, she began waking up later, sometimes coming out at 7.30am and then slowly have her breakfast before starting work.

She was then ok for two more months until December, where she frequently displayed dissatisfaction through facial expressions and sighing, and became increasingly disrespectful toward both my family and our driver.

At one point, she began claiming she was unwell while working, so I offered to bring her to a clinic for medical attention—at my expense. She refused. When I gently insisted, she responded rudely by raising her voice and shouting, “I said I don’t want to!” Instead of addressing her health properly, she continued working but with escalating hostility.

Her behavior worsened further during Chinese New Year 2024, where she ignored instructions, openly sulked, slammed doors, and refused to engage with us when asked. Despite counseling from the agency’s Indonesian consultant, no improvement was seen. We told ourselves that we’ll just tolerate it, since she’s going back soon.

The final and most serious breach occurred last week, when she deliberately attempted to feed my 18-month-old child an entire salted egg—a food item inappropriate and potentially harmful to a toddler’s health.

Despite the RM17,000 in fees we paid, the agency, particularly Carmen who was liaising with us, offered no practical support beyond ineffective video call counseling sessions. When we requested in-person intervention, we were even asked to pay the Grab fare for their representative to come over.

After consulting several other reputable maid agencies since we are hiring a new helper, we believe that Sands’ handling of this situation was far below industry standards.

I strongly advise others to consider twice before engaging Sands Agency Klang. Their lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service is unacceptable.

After reading positive reviews on Google Maps, I decided to consult Sands Agency.

They provided me with a selection of available Indonesian maids and a breakdown of the costs involved in bringing one to Malaysia.

Once I selected a maid for an interview and paid the initial deposit, my consultant, Mei Ling, promptly arranged an online meeting.

The approval process with local ministries took about seven weeks, followed by an additional two weeks on the Indonesian side to finalize arrangements and fly the maid over. Before she was released to us, she underwent medical checkups and basic training—bringing the total process to about 3 months from the initial deposit payment.

Overall, I truly appreciate Sands Agency’s efficiency, professionalism, and thorough follow-up service. A special shoutout to Mei Ling, whose expertise made the entire process smooth and stress-free. We’re also very happy with the quality of the maid we’ve secured!
