Hostel dengan setting bilik-bilik cubicle (small room double decker) tapi dinding cover kat kiri dan kanan katil. Dia macam 1 rumah yg besar dengan 2 bilik yg boleh muatkan ramai org dlm setiap bilik. Bilik dia macam dorm asrama kat sekolah (tp lebih privacy dan selesa). Rumah sangat bersih dan owner sgt ramah. Malam tu sy mulanya nak tidor je, tp lastly join juga owner dgn guest lain utk main boardgame sama-sama. Sebabkan ruang yg luas tu, takde la bising sgt pun bila kami play game kat ruang tamu tu dan kami pun takde la lepak sampai tgh mlm, sebab owner pun very consider for all the guest yg nak tidur/rehat. dengan harga yg murah dan pengalaman yg sedikit berbeza mcm ni, sy rasa sgt berbaloi utk korang juga cuba merasai sendiri pengalaman bermalam kat sini. Tapi kalau korang yg jenis perlukan full privacy on everything, this kind of place is surely not for u guys.

Saya pun mula terpikir tempat ni scammer, tp sy akhirnya tak menyesali lansung kerana put my trust on being here. Happy jugak sebab dapat kawan-kawan baru dan pengalaman best camni.

DO NOT STAY HERE: *Please read my review if you’re considering stay at this hostel! *

Upon arrival to the hostel, and noticing we were the only guests in the hostel that night, we went straight to pack our bags for a jungle trek starting the following morning. Soon after, the employee came into the dorm and complained about the mess (mid packing). Naturally our stuff would be on the floor as we were re-arranging our bags - so we respectfully told him that the room would be tidied soon once we had packed our bags for tomorrow. However, he kept coming in to check on us and seemed to be acting strangely. After we had packed our things up, we left a small pile of essential items outside our bed in the room with things we needed for the morning (there was no storage or shelving inside the capsule pod so we thought it was okay to leave it close-by). However, as we got into bed the employee came in again and angrily told us to move all of our stuff outside the room. After moving our stuff we thought that would be the end of it, but upon getting into bed (and conscious we needed a good night sleep before the trek) he came into the room, turned the light on and demanded we swept and mopped the floor despite being NO sign of any dirt or sand. He was also sleeping in the same dorm as which was strange and we noticed that he moved the fan which was in front of our bed to face himself instead of his guests.

In the morning, he didn’t speak to us and was extremely hostile. After communicating the previous day that we were allowed to leave our bags in a locker whilst we were away on our trek, the following morning just before we were about to leave, he demanded we took our bags with us. We were extremely confused as to why this was the case, and he completely went back on the agreement we had. This is the rudest hostel employee we’ve ever encountered during our 4 months of travel, so we would advise you to avoid this place if you are staying in Kluang.

I had an amazing stay at Yuan and even ended up extending. Tee is so kind and accommodating and was keen to help so one of the afternoons he took a few of us in the hostel on a tour around town, and he had lots of suggestions for activities. The living room area is great with a huge TV and Netflix and on two of the nights we played board games from the broad selection. Overall it feels like an Airbnb with hostel price point. Thank you so much Tee for a wonderful stay ❤️

I stayed here for a couple of weeks. Tee was a great host. He introduced me to other members of the community and had game nights with interesting games I’m sure you’ve never heard of. He has 3 hedgehogs that only come out at night, very cute.|His friend Wayne took me trekking, he’s a member of the local trekking club and helps maintain the trails.

Very clean & friendly staffs. Its above uncles don’s on the 3rd flr. Staircase is right beside uncle don’s. Do pre check with the staff if you have any needs.
Since its a communal dorm bed pods style. Any clutter outside bed pod area is a no no. They provide a cupboard outside of the bedroom for you to store luggages. So you wont have eyesore from untidy guest 😆
Saw a comment by another guest regards to temporary stuff in bedroom right outside of bed pods. i believe in asia people dont wear shoes indoor especially not in bedroom. N dusty luggages that you drag on the road or muddy trekking backpacks to be brought into bedroom space will be unhygienic to most asian. Maybe due to this there is a culture misunderstanding. My mum wont even allow you pass the main door at home 🤣
Its a very safe, pleasant & clean stay to summarize 😉

Loved the guys handling the stay! The space functions as both a "capsule" hotel and a community space. Sometimes they have game nights. The people running it are Kluang locals but they've travelled all over the world. If you're a talkative person and you're looking to explore Kluang, or maybe you're just looking for a place to stay for the night (I was both), this can be your go to spot.

Friendly owners, plus they even have a list of best restaurants in Kluang they give to their customers. And it's cheap! Yes, you have to pay a deposit but otherwise I was pleasantly surprised with my stay.

The hostel is clean, and there's packaged food & drinks sold including alcohol, but Muslims need not worry too much since the owners do respect our dietary preferences.

NOTE: The entrance is the stairs right to the left of Uncle Don's, you should see a black door. Beware of asking the OYO hotel on the other side – the uncle does try to persuade others away from here by saying this hostel is a scam (which it isn't).
